Misimplantation of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator device electrode into the inappropriate sites other than the right ventricular cavity can result in both inappropriate and unsuccessful device therapies during an atrial or ventricular arrhythmia. In the current report, an inappropriate device therapy for an atrial arrhythmia due to misimplantation of the defibrillator lead to an unusual site was described.
